So maybe I'm biased. However, I was frustrated with the way the episodes were written with her- unlike other "must solve the mystery of the companion" arcs, hers felt like they were missing a big piece right up until we got to The Name of the Doctor. And it shouldn't have been that way.

Re: The Doctor: Eleven, Twelve.

I will miss Matt Smith. Doctor's nine and ten to me didn't seem as vibrant, or upbeat. Doctor nine was my first... I absolutely loved Clara when she was just souffle girl, but not feeling her as a full time companion.

Re: My children are too much like me!

I'm extremely proud. I hope I never stop the dance parties when I'm an adult, too. ;)

I... yeah, I hope I'm never an "adult" - not in the boring way that people mean it when they ask if you're going to ever grow up.

Re: Life is a dance party.

People give me funny looks when I tell them my mom used to dance in the aisles at church when I was growing up. As a teen it periodically embarrassed me, but as an adult...I know that THAT was just how my mom was. She didn't give a damn what anyone thought of her behavior, she just did it anyways. I hope I can be that carefree when *I'm* an adult.... ;)

Re: Halloween costumes, Assemble.

I wasn't going to make full armor. Probably make a chest piece, and some other key pieces out of molded craft foam (which just requires some heat to shape it and make it harden) and then attach it to long sleeved shirts & sweats with velcro. :)

My mom's a costumer, so I guess it's sort of in my blood.

Re: Halloween costumes, Assemble.

Making those is going to be difficult! Good luck! I bought my kid an Iron Man costume from Mr. Costumes, and he gets good use out of it playing in the yard. Making Stormtrooper armor though? Wow!

Re: The Mob.

I think that most of the kids were so preoccupied with their songs that they weren't very embarrassed.

But during the smaller class things? They get INCREDIBLY embarrassed to have their parents get up in their faces when other parents are hanging back.

Re: The Mob.

I daresay it's embarrassing to the child that belongs to the parents who are shouting. Or do kids of LK's age not have awareness of self enough to be embarrassed? I'm still fuzzy on that part. :)

I hope I can keep this in mind when it's the Boy's turn in school to do things like this.

Re: Kiss Today Goodbye.

Thanks so much. And then if your doctor turns out to be a jerk? Fire them and find someone else if you can. Life's too short to be treated poorly by medical professionals. (And if anyone's health insurance is government-funded, like Medicaid or Tricare, any issues with finding another doc can often be resolved with a call to your state or federal rep's office. Just sayin'.)

Re: Let it Bleed. And there's nothing wrong with a little irrational hope - sometimes we're right, sometimes we're wrong, and sometimes it's that little glimmer of hope that keeps us from going screaming down the road to the nearest mental place. You do what you need to do to keep going forward and the rest will, eventually, sort itself out. How, I don't know. When, I also don't know. I do hope that it's soon and with the help of the next doc you see, so that you can get off the damn rollercoaster that is "mysterious health shit". Which, by the way, is a TERRIBLE name for a rollercoaster.

Re: Four Ways Whitney’s Life Turned Upside Down (and One It Didn’t)

I'm glad it made you laugh.

And honestly, those kids drove me crazy. I mean, it's not entirely unheard of (teenage boys tend to be the ones who hit on me) but the kids clearly had no idea how loud he was. Going to make sure that my kids understand respect, and you know, learning to think things instead of saying it out loud.

Re: Four Ways Whitney’s Life Turned Upside Down (and One It Didn’t)

Oh man!
